Waco has been my home my whole life and I'm excited to host you in any of our vacation homes! I'm a wife and mother and take great care of my houses to make sure people feel comfortable and welcome. I enjoy the occasional design and decor projects for clients and value hospitality as a tenant of my faith and Southern culture.
Remember the Farmhouse next door? This is her sister, same owner. He built a similar but reversed layout and asked me to design the interior hard finishes like the door shape, flooring, windows, stone, tiles, lighting, all of it. This house took about 8 months to build and another 2-3 to furnish. Next door and sister to Cameron Park Farmhouse, meet Cameron Park Homestead.
I love designing and decorating vacation homes, so if you love what I’m doing, let’s chat about how I can help you decorate or update your vacation home. #willingtotravel
Ready to check out this gorgeous interior? This modern boho vacation home is one of my favorite designs and I can’t wait to show you. Let’s go in!!
Once the rug came it, it became my absolute favorite. This whole space is so beautiful when you walk in. It looks small from this image, but it does sit 8 people and feels so spacious when you walk in.
My worrrrrd. These floating shelves were a pain for the builder as they were his first and neither he, nor the cabinet maker, knew how to install them. But they figured it out, after trying to convince me it was a bad idea. Sometimes you have to hold your ground and push newer design ideas through. What’s funny is after they were installed the builder was watching Property Brothers and saw floating shelves on the show. He had a great laugh and told me he was glad he learned what it took to make these stay up.
Finding couches for this room was the hardest part of this whole design. The owner often travels for family to Oklahoma and told me about a furniture store that he could go to and bring anything back on his trailer. I found the green sofa and immediately knew we needed 2. The symmetry of this room makes me so happy.
Another challenge to this room was the stone fireplace. I chose 2 types of stone and requested a 70/30 split on the order, which made it a little bit complicated. I came several times to review the pattern and encourage them to keep going. The lightness of the home meant it needed more light colored stone but the roman shades bring out the yellower stones in a subtle and soft way. I love how it turned out, too.
This bathroom is one of my favorites and it’s the room people GASP at when they walk in. I insisted the insert being long like this because I think the rectangle inserts aren’t sufficient. I love this design and it is extremely practical.
The glass surround is custom and the owner found this brass shower handle on an ADA accessible website. It all turned out perfectly, though it’s small, it’s quite functionable.
The builder didn’t love the floating vanity because of the plumbing and wall connections but they made it work. It was worth it.
I’m so glad you got to meet Cameron Park Homestead, look through the interior and shop the inside. The owner’s reaction was shock and surprise. He was very happy with the outcome, and even happier with how often it gets booked. I’m happy for that too!
